KEY PROJECTS FOR 2024

The Swakopmund Residents Association (SRA) supports the Street-Based People initiative, funding NGOs and the Coastal Community Youth Faculty to assist individuals living on the streets. Their efforts align with the “Don’t Give Change, Be the Change” campaign, promoting responsible giving and essential services.

SRA Membership Drive

The Swakopmund Residents Association (SRA) aims to convert followers into members to better represent community interests. At the upcoming July meeting, updated membership figures will be shared. Benefits of joining include staying informed about local issues, voting on policies, and connecting with neighbors. Membership can be obtained online, in person, or by mail.

Maintaining City Infrastructure

The Swakopmund community must collectively ensure infrastructure maintenance, addressing public spaces, private property upkeep, and government-owned buildings. Urgent repairs are essential to preserve the city’s aesthetic and historical value, fostering local pride and enhancing safety for residents and visitors alike.
